Recording session

My parents have been talking (for years) about wanting us sisters to make a CD. They've always talked about it but could never get us to actually get together and actually do it. So...we decided to surprise our parents and make a CD for them for Christmas! Because half of us live in Thatcher and the other half live in the valley, we were only able to practice twice before actually making the CD. It actually turned out pretty good for only practicing twice, if you ask me =).

Please excuse the way we look. The only time we thought to take a picture together was EARLY Saturday morning after we had been recording all night on Friday!

It was SO much fun making the CD! It was a little costly but totally worth it. My parents were SO surprised!!

Family Reunion

We had our second Myrl Rogers reunion in November (Myrl is my Dad's mom). One of her favorite things was when the family would get together for Thanksgiving. We would gather at our old church building in Snowflake and have our Thanksgiving feast. It was always so much fun. So, that's what we did for our reunion!

We stayed up in Pinetop at WorldMark! We LOVE that place! It was a little scary driving around in all the snow and ice up there though. We were on our way to Snowflake Thanksgiving morning and the roads were really icy. While we were driving on the highway the car in front of us put their brakes on. We were a safe distance behind them......if there wasn't ice on the road.....We put our brakes on and our car wouldn't stop. Anthon swerved to miss the van in front of us (going 35 mph) and we started to spin into the oncoming lane. We did a full circle and slid backwards right off the road. It was pretty terrifying!! McKay was the only one who wasn't scared. All HE had to say about the whole thing was "That tickled my stomach!!" and then he laughed! He's a crazy kid!

The minute we got to the church building Mason found this little boat. He could NOT leave it alone for a minute! He scooted it around with him everywhere he went =).

One of my cousins brought a portable air hockey table. It was a hit with the kids!

We also had a talent show. It was so much fun watching all the kids put on puppet shows and singing songs!

We are expecting baby number 4!

I just realized that I have family/friends that AREN'T on Facebook! I am due August 5th and we are expecting another baby boy!! We are very excited to have another teeny one around the house =).

Halloween

Our kiddos had so much fun getting dressed up for Halloween this year. They were so excited about their costumes!

Disneyland

In October, my AMAZING parents took us on a vacation to Disneyland! We had SO much fun! The night we got to Anaheim we went to go get dinner and guess what.....we walked right onto the set of DEXTER!! Anyway, we were SO excited! We hung around so we could see Michael C. Hall.

We were able to hang around and be in the background while they were filming. Unfortunately, we had to leave about 45 minutes later because they could hear Mason and had to do another take....Oops!!
Anyway, it was pretty darn awesome! It was the perfect start to a fun vacation!

The next morning we woke the kids up and told them exactly why we were in California! We thought they would be more surprised but our kids are too smart. They totally guessed it when they saw all the Mickey Mouses around the hotel the day before. They were still excited to go!

Well, as you know, I'm horrible about remembering to take pictures so I don't have very many of the first day......or second day.........or third day......

We had such an awesome time! I'm so lucky to have such amazing parents. Thank you Mom and Dad!!!!

It's been so long since we went, I forgot how we even got the tickets and why didn't take Mason....

The kids wanted to move around a little so we went to the play area that they have for kids. It's totally free and totally awesome!

Makenna starts kindergarten!

Makenna started kindergarten in August. Can I just tell you....it's a VERY hard thing, having your child start school. I started crying a couple days before she started school and didn't stop until the first week was over! I couldn't even stay at home the first day she was gone. It felt weird not having her around! SHE was SO STINKIN' EXCITED though!

She has loved every minute of school and gets sad when she realizes it's the weekend and has to wait until Monday to go back!
I love my little girl and I'm so proud of how well she is doing in class.

New Year Resolution

Really?!?! I can't believe it's been since July that I last blogged! I seriously almost forgot how to get on the website! lol
So.....one of my new year resolutions is to be better about blogging and commenting others' blogs. So be looking for all my catch up posts! It'll take me a while....but I'll do it!
