Christmas

We had a wonderful Christmas day! I love that Makenna understands everything about it. First thing Christmas morning Makenna came into our room all excited saying "Santa came and bringed us LOTS of presents!" She was excited. So we went to wake up McKay and Makenna was the first one in his room telling him that Santa came and brought them presents and McKay said "Oooo, Tanta" They were both very excited.

Notice how our tree lights are out again? Anthon fixed the lights like 10 times and they kept going out. We also had a strand of lights go off at the very top of our house and one of the heads on the reindeer kept turning on and off. We haven't had much luck with our lights this year!
This is a cool truck that my parents got McKay for Christmas. It's a big diesel that holds cars in it. He LOVES it! He absolutely LOVES cars!

McKay opening up Wall E. He can't get enough that little robot.
Opening up her Barbie doll.

OK, this bat was from the dollar store and it was his favorite thing! He would put it down to open a present and then pick it back up and hold it.

Makenna getting her cupcake maker. She LOVES cupcakes.

A remote control car that McKay got. It's a pretty cool little doo-dad.

This is a marble game that Anthon's uncle, Rowan, made for the kids. He is a VERY crafty man! He put so much work into Christmas presents this year. He made ALL of the grandkids one of these and he also made HUGE chests for his siblings and children.
Anyway, the kids love it. Thanks Uncle Rowan!

Anthon and I got a vacuum!! I am actually really excited about it. Our vacuum doesn't smell so good...at all! and it's almost 5 years old. We were in need of a new one! Thank you Mom and Dad!!
Dorne and Nancy came over to give the kids their presents and eat breakfast with us. Makenna loved the Angelina Ballerina stuff and McKay really likes his trucks! Thank you Dorne and Nancy!!
(My house was spotless that morning and in less than an hour it looked like it was hit by a tornado! That's Christmas morning for ya.)

Makenna loves playing on the computer so Santa brought her a Candy Land game to play on it.

Once we had eaten and played with lots of the toys, we got dressed and took the race car out for a little spin.

I think Anthon liked it just as much as McKay....maybe more :o)

Here is a little video of McKay chasing it around. He really enjoyed the car. Makenna kept freaking out everytime it looked like the car was going to go into the street. You will hear that in the first few seconds of the video.

McKay was exhausted after chasing the car around so he sat down to watch Wall E while Makenna and I got out her cupcake maker. Of course, he had to have his bat with him while he watched the show :o). PLEASE excuse the mess. I'm really embarrassed. All those Christmas presents made the HUGEST mess!

Trying to figure out how to make the cupcakes.
Makenna loved making it. The machine only makes one cupcake at a time :o(.
The finished product. After playing with toys for a couple of hours we went to Anthon's Uncle's house for a family get together and lunch. I forgot about my camera until most of the people were gone so I only got this one picture.
Aaron, Pace & fiancé Juliana, Tanner & wife Lin.

After hours at Cory's house we went to Dorne and Nancy's house to hang out and have dinner. It was a wonderful Christmas day!
The next day we met up with my parents for a couple of hours. They were headed to California and stopped to see us on their way there. It was nice to see them and spend some time with them.
On Saturday we woke up and got ready to go to Pace and Juliana's wedding. After the sealing we went to Cory's house again for a luncheon and the ring ceremony. It was great to be with Anthon's family so much this week. We ended up not going to the reception because I was really sick and still am. I'm actually doing this post while Anthon is at church :o).
Anyway, I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas!

Congratulations Anthon!!

Anthon graduated from ASU!!!! His ASU GPA was a 3.25 and his business courses GPA was a 3.54. I am very proud of him and for sticking with it. I'm sure it's hard going to work full time and then spending his evening either at school or doing homework. We are BOTH very relieved! Congratulations Anthon! We are proud of you!

Silly Makenna

Nearly every day for the past couple of weeks I have caught Makenna sneaking onto the computer to take funny pictures of herself on Photo Booth. She would sit at the computer for hours if I let her. She makes a new face for each picture she takes. Here are just a few of the pictures she has taken of herself. I went through and counted how many pictures she has taken of herself....90! No two poses are the same!

She likes to hide behind the chair

She gets McKay involved too

I love this little girl!

Help!!

So, we have been planning on naming this baby, Mason, but that name is being used so much now that we really want to change the name. Does anyone have any suggestions?! It doesn't have to start with an M. We just need a name that isn't common but isn't too weird :o). No Bible names like Isaac or Noah or Elijah but we are open to everything else :o) Please! We need help!!

Also, I had an ultrasound today to see how big the baby is because I'm so huge. I'm 33 weeks and 4 days along and I am measuring at 36 weeks.
Anyway, the baby himself is measuring about a week ahead of schedule so they changed my due date!!! They changed it to January 21!! Not because they think I'm really farther along than they first thought but because he is just growing fast. I'm so excited! Makenna was 3 days late and McKay was 10 days late so it will be nice to have one come early. They said he weighs about 5 lbs 14 oz right now, give or take 14 oz. Anyway, just thought I would give an update.

This is just a cute profile picture :o)
I wish she had taken a picture of his face. His cheeks were SO stinkin' chubby! Half of the chub is probably because he is squished in there but hopefully some of it is real.
Oh! And we were totally surprised when we saw who was doing our ultrasound. Anthon's cousin, Lisa, just moved down from Washington about two weeks ago and she happened to be working that office this week. So she was the one that did the ultrasound for us. It was nice to catch up. We hadn't seen her since I was pregnant with McKay.

Christmas party

Yesterday was the Preschool Christmas party and I was in charge of it. The kids made a little Santa with cotton balls and had a lot of fun doing that. Here are some pictures.

The Santas that they made

After they made the Santas I read them a Christmas story and we talked about what Christmas is really all about. Then they had treats and watched a Christmas movie.

This is all of them.

While they were waiting for their parents to pick them up, they watched the train go around the tree. They loved it.

I also gave them these reindeer candy canes.

Updates

First things first! Look to the right. My baby is starting to turn around! Pretty soon he will be upside down!! WAHOO!! It's getting closer!

Friday night we had our ward Christmas party. I got a picture of the kids with Santa and that was it. I'm not so good at remembering I have my camera with me sometimes. Oops :o)

McKay looks like he is scared of Santa in this picture but he wasn't. Both the kids LOVE seeing Santa! McKay still talks about how "Tanta" gave him a candy cane.
On Saturday, we pretty much lounged around all morning and then decided we should get out of the house. We went to In N Out for dinner and then went to the temple lights. It was great. The kids can't get enough Christmas lights.

The twins :o) Don't they look a TON alike in this picture?

Me and Macman. Can you believe how empty it was at In N Out? It's usually SOO crowded! We went to Circuit City at dinner to let the sun go down before we went to the temple lights. They are closing down and had a big sale. There wasn't anything too great. We got Hairspray for $9. Makenna has only seen it twice and she already has the song "Good morning Baltimore" stuck in her head :o)

My cute children holding hands looking at the water at the temple lights.
We tried to get a good picture with the kids but McKay was too distracted with the lights and Makenna can't keep herself from making funny faces when we take pictures!

I'm in the middle of telling McKay to say "CHEESE" so I look a little goofy.

My flash was a little too bright so you can't see how pretty the lights were.
Sad quick story. After we saw the lights, we went to the new Apple store on Val Vista and Baseline and while we were talking to a friend, Makenna and McKay were running around and McKay ran right into a glass door! The poor little guy was running full speed. He hit SOOO hard!! It was one of those times where you just wanted to cry for them but couldn't help laughing every time you thought about it.

Also, on Sunday, Makenna went into Primary for the first time! Of course, she really starts going in January but they usually let them go in for singing time the last couple of Sundays in December. It was so crazy seeing her sitting there in the Primary room. My little girl is getting too old!!!!

Real quick, I forgot to do a post for....last Saturday? Or the Saturday before...I don't remember, but it was fun :o) Some dentist hauled down some snow and put on a boutique type thing to advertise his business.

There is actually a funny story with this picture. McKay got a huge snowball and Makenna said "McKay, can I hold it for you for a second?" McKay let her hold it and the second she got it, she chucked it at him. Hahaha! What a booger!

Makin' a snow angel.

When we got home, Anthon put our christmas lights up on the house. I tried to get a good picture of the house with the lights on but either it was too bright or too dark.

Too bright

too dark. That's pretty much it though :o)
