Our weekend

So, for the first time since I lived in Cali, which was about 13 years ago, I went to a yard sale. I'm really weird when it comes to stuff like that. If I am going to buy something I would WAY rather it be new than used. I just have a really hard time with it. I don't know why. Anyway, when I went to Globe last week with my sister, Amy, we were talking about it and she asked if I wanted to go to a yard sale with her. I agreed. Anyway, I didn't buy too much but I was proud of what I DID buy. Some guy was selling some pretty sturdy storage shelves and I bought two of them for $15. Now we can organize our VERY unorganized garage! I also bought a much needed weed whacker for $3. Crazy, huh? It works great! I also saw a little car racing thing that I thought McKay would just love so I had to buy it. Both of our children can't get enough of it. Here are some pictures.

McKay was so funny! He would clentch his teeth and shake really hard everytime he pressed the button to make the car go.

Here is a cute little video to show how happy he was to have it. It doesn't show it in the video but they both kept saying "Go, go, go!" It was cute.

(Sorry about Anthon sticking his butt in at the last second! He must have thought I was done recording :o) )

Also, I went over to Carrie Skiba's house this past Tuesday and she showed me how to make bows. I never knew it was so easy! Thanks Carrie! I went to Ribbon's & Lace on Saturday and bought all the stuff I needed and then got to work. I wanted to watch a movie while I was working on my bows so I tried one of those Redbox movie rental things. I think I am really going to like these!

I rented the movie Waitress and...let's just say that it wasn't the best choice I ever made. It was kind of cute but boy is she random in the movie. My reaction to almost everything that happened was "Wha??". I'm glad I only paid a dollar for it.

5. Ever steal any traffic signs? Ok, I know this is bad but yes. The city of Snowflake now has signs no more than 7 years old on almost every street. That's how terrible I was. Hey, there is NOTHING to do in Snowflake. We had to keep ourselves entertained! Please don't hate me.

14. Been kissed under mistletoe? Actually...no
15. Favorite holiday? Either Christmas or Thanksgiving. I can't decide
16. Been skinny dipping outdoors? I don't skinny dip, I chunky dunk! hahaha. Yes, I have been skinny dipping before. It feels really weird. I didn't like it. And don't worry, it was back in my skinny days. ;o)

Yay!

Ok, I know I just posted something not even 24 hours ago but I was excited about this. I went to Dewper today and I won this gift basket!

They had Tinkerbell there and she helped sing the songs and stuff. It was cute.
This is what was in the basket.
A pirate's hat
Pirate sword
An eye patch
Four little pirate bear toys
Two pirate telescopes
Tinkerbell wings that you can put on your back
A fairy wand
A fairy doll
A cute little fairy tutu
A Peter Pan book
And....
Four tickets to go watch the play at the Wright House. The tickets in clude a light luncheon buffet, ballet etudes performance, storytime with Wendy, treasure hunt, face painting, bean bag toss & photos.
I hope it doesn't sound like I am bragging, I am just really excited that I actually won something! I NEVER win anything. Anthon wins tons of stuff but I hardly ever do, so I am really excited :o).

3 Things

First and foremost...I got my baby girl back!! I missed her so much! I drove to Globe tonight to meet my parents so that I could get Makenna back. My little sister, Amy, was nice enough to accompany me. Her ears are probably still ringing from all the babbling I did. When my lips start flappin...they never stop!!! Carrie knows about that :o). I think the last 4 times I have talked to her on the phone it has been for at least 2 hours. Probably closer to 3. Sorry Carrie :o). Anyway, I'm so glad to have my Makenna back. I love her so much!

Second.

pbs kids

Makenna has been on this whole pbskids.org phase and I don't think it will go away any time soon. She LOVES it! The only problem is, she goes a little crazy with the mouse and ends up opening things up. Luckily it hasn't been anything bad. But this is what she HAS done.

* Downloaded a kiwae toolbar.
* Sent me and my parents two emails from a health website.
* She got to one of the last steps in setting up a new printer. I don't think "alsdjkfopawehfnvgbafghalsdkfjqqqqqq" is the name of any REAL printer so I don't think it would have worked :o).
* Tried to upgrade our Adobe Reader.
* And she changed the desktop on my computer! If you go to pbskids.org, the squared backround with the different colors of green is now my desktop picture. She is crazy! We decided we are going to give her her own account on our computer and limit her access so that she can't mess anything up. She is such a funny girl!

Third....hhhhh. .

Brooke White

I don't like posting unhappy stuff but I am pretty angry right now. I think I might be the only person who feels this way so please DON'T HATE ME. Why was Brooke White not eliminated tonight?! I really think she needs to go home! I liked her at first, in the begining, but now....no. She has gotten WAY too cocky. I usually agree with Simon but it seems like Brooke can't make any mistakes in his eyes. It's crazy. Yes, she good (not great but good) but....too cocky. Also, her sad face is SOO fake. If you can, go back and watch her face after they send people home. She has the worst pouty face ever and she has this look like "It's sad that they are going home but..Oh well. I'm still in". I question some of her outfits too. Anyway, Sorry!! I just had to vent. I apologize to those of you who like her.
I'm just really sad that Carly went home :o( She was really good. I LOVE the accent!

Our wonderful weekend

As you all know, our anniversary was on Wednesday. We celebrated it this weekend and had so much fun!! We dropped our children off at Anthon's parents' house at around 8:30 am. They watched them all day and then my parents came down from Thatcher to watch them overnight at our house.
The Harkins Theartres
We started off our morning by standing in line at the Harkins Theater for an hour and a half so we could get tickets to their SMF thing that they do. I was a little sad that we had to use some our time to do that but it was the only day we could get them. It was fun anyway. Carrie Skiba showed up and we talked to her while we were waiting.
Chandler Mall
After we got our tickets we went to the Chandler Mall and walked around for while. I had only been there once before and Anthon had never been inside. It was pretty close to our hotel so we decided to go check it out.

After the mall we went to a Brazilian restaurant called Fogo E Brasa. It is in Chandler. It was really good. For those of you who have never been to a Brazilian restaurant I will explain. They come out with a huge sword with a bunch of meat on it and you choose which part of the meat you want and they cut it off for you. It is all you can eat so they come around with a different kind of meat every few minutes. They serve you ham, roast beef, sausage, chicken & top serloin. They also bring you beans and rice. It was good. I actually like the Brazilian restaurants in Utah better. I think they have a couple more meats and their salad bars have a lot more to choose from. They also have a grilled pineapple with cinnamon sugar on it but Fogo E Brasa didn't have that. It was still really good though.
They also give you deep fried bananas that are really good. I know, way to turn something healthy into something so fattening.
They had this little thing at the corner of the restaurant so we had our waiter take a picture of us. He cut out the picture on the board......... At the restaurant, I ordered Guarana (which is one of my most favorite drinks ever) and you have to pay for each refill which I didn't want to do. So, we went to Lee Lee's afterwards and bought a couple of liters. If you haven't ever tried this stuff you need to. It pretty much tastes like carbonated apple juice but it's SO good. It's very addictive.
After Lee Lee's, we went to the hotel to check in. We stayed at the Quality Suites. This is me getting ice at the ice machine. It's really weird but it is tradition for me to go and get a bucket of ice every time I stay at a hotel. When we were little it was really fun for us to push the button to make the ice come out so we did it everytime we went. After that, it just turned into tradition. We usually go at night but I knew that we would get back late and I wouldn't want to go. The machine was pretty far from our room and I knew I would be really exausted.
21
After we checked in and got all of our stuff in the room we looked online at different movies that were playing. We decided to see 21. Wow, I LOVED it! So did Anthon. It's a true story and really cool. There are a couple of scenes that are not so good but they don't really show anything. But still, I would recommend it to everyone. We couldn't stop talking about it.
my go cart
After the movie, we went to Golfland and road their race cars. It was pretty fun. We were the only ones on the track so that made it better.
After the race cars we golfed. Anthon beat me as always. I'm not good at goofy golfing.

This is me showing that I am ok with losing. I was just having fun. We had to wait a while at each hole because EVERYONE was there with their kids but it was fun watching them. Little kids are so funny to watch when they are goofy golfing.
Ok, I'm not trying to sell you guys anything but these are great! I sell games for a company called Simplyfun. They have these key chains that are supposed to help you get to know someone a little better. I actually get my questions of the week from these things. Anyway, we had a lot of fun conversations with this thing. By the end of our weekend we had gone through every question. It's not like Anthon and I have a hard time finding something to talk about but it made it fun.

blizzard
After Golf land we went and got dinner and then we got a blizzard from Dairy Queen. It was really good. We got back to hotel and tried to find a good show to watch but they had like no channels at all!! Which is really weird because hotels usually have some pretty good channels. Anyway, so we ended up just going to bed. It was after midnight anyway.
best buy
The next morning we got up and got our complimentary breakfast and headed out. We checked out and then we to Tempe Marketplace. We went to Best Buy where Anthon decided to buy a computer game :o(.
TARGET
We went to Target and got our children a new outfit. We decided to head back to our part of town.
Bed, Bath, and Beyond
We went to Bed Bath & Beyond and bought a couple of decorations for the house. They are badly needed!
sams club
After that, we went to Sam's Club to eat lunch. We got their 3 meat pizza which is really good.
LA FITNESS
We decided that after all that eating we needed to do something active so that we wouldn't feel TOO bad about the weekend. I have a membership to LA Fitness so we went over there. I'm glad we went because Anthon showed me how to work all the machines. I never used any of the weight machines because I hate standing there by myself looking stupid trying to figure out them out. So, I usually just use the Eliptical Glider for an hour, do crunches and then go home. Now I can get in some REAL workouts :o). So, we lifted weights for a while then went on the Eliptical machines, played raquet ball and then shot some hoops. We had to call it a day after that because we had a birthday party to go to. So, we went home, showered and saw our wonderful children again and then went to the party.

They had so much fun playing on all the new stuff. They really enjoyed being there.
McKay LOVED the swings!

Daddy had fun swinging with Makenna
Alvin The Chipmunks
When we were done we met up with my parents at Sam's Club. My mom bought the Chipmunks movie for the kids so we went back to our house to watch it. Amy and Kent came over to watch it with us. It is a really cute movie. The kids loved it.
My mom and dad went to church with us and watched our children while we sang in the choir. On their way out the door Makenna said she wanted to go with them. She wanted it SOO badly so I gave in. I quickly packed some stuff for her so she could go to "Manga" and Grandpa's house. Of course, I cried when she left. I will meet my parents in Globe either Wednesday or Thursday to pick her up. I know she will have lots of fun.
Thank you Dorne and Nancy and Mom and Dad for watching our children. We really appreciate everything you do for us!

Happy Anniversary

Today is our 4 year anniversary! I just wanted to tell Anthon that I love him and Happy Anniversary.
Let me take you back almost exactly 4 1/2 years ago. Anthon and I met at Bank Of America (we were both working there). We found out that both of us were members and he decided to ask me to go to institute with him. That was our very first time hanging out. A couple weeks later we started dating. Our very first date was to the Zoo Lights. We got engaged 2 1/2 weeks later and then got married April 16th 2004 in Snowflake, AZ. Here are some pictures of our journey.

This is Anthon's first time meeting my parents. It was the day after Christmas.

While we were dating

This was right after we got engaged

This is one of our many engagement pictures

This is in my back yard at my parents' house in Snowflake.

Kissy Kissy! On our honeymoon. This is us outside of the SBC ballfield (now the AT&T field) in San Francisco. We were in the Bay Area (where I am originally from) so we decided to go to a Giants game. I'm actually an Oakland A's fan but they weren't playing that weekend :o(. We got to see Barry Bonds hit his 667th home run. It was pretty chilling and this guy (in shorts and a t-shirt) jumped into the ice cold water to get the ball. It was crazy!

In San Francisco
I know there aren't any pictures of us between our honeymoon pictures and the picture of our children. We got pregnant two weeks after we got married and didn't really take any pictures :o(. I wish we had. But our children are our life now. We love them so much!

While I was working on this post, I got a package from FedEx. Anthon bought me 3 dozen roses!!

The pictures don't do them much justice. They are VERY beautiful!

I'm so happy to be married to Anthon. I love him very much and I feel very blessed to have such a wonderful family!
