It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas

Well, we FINALLY got our tree up! Every other year it is hard to get our tree up right after Thanksgiving because we are gone. When we are in town for Thanksgiving it's tradition to wake up early, do our Black Friday shopping, come home, put the kids down for a nap and Anthon puts the lights on the house while I put up the tree. It usually takes us all day to decorate but it gets done in one day. Since we were gone this year we have been trying to get it done in the evenings.
Anyway, we went to put up our tree on Monday night for family home evening but half the lights on the tree wouldn't come on. It took us until yesterday (Wednesday) to finally get the tree up and decorated. We ended up needing to replace two of the fuses on the tree.
Anyway, here are some pictures of us putting up the tree, decorating it and setting up the train.

This is how our tree had to stay for a full day!

Finally got the lights fixed and the tree up.
Taking out the train. The kids were SO excited!! It has a head light that comes on and it plays Christmas music. It's really cute. It's one of our great buys from last years Black Friday shopping at Home Depot :o)

The children kept trying to help put the train tracks together because they were too excited to wait. Little did they know, they were just slowing Anthon down :o)
McKay can watch the train ALL day long! Seriously!

The entire time the train is on he says "Look it, look it!" "It's coming!!" "Go, go, go" "Mommy, choo choo train!" Seriously, the ENTIRE time. It's cute.

And this is what his face looks like EVERY time we turn it off.

As I was putting the hooks on the ornaments, Makenna was taking them and decorating the tree. Don't you love how evenly she spreads them out ;o)

She loves making faces at the camera
While I was fixing the tree Makenna was laying there looking at it saying "It looks perfect" and "What a wonderful tree" and "I really like the red balls"

The finished product...minus the tree topper. I need to return the one I have and find a cuter one. Any suggestions on where I can find a cute star tree topper?
Anyway, this was my first year doing candy canes on my tree. I don't think they will last very long. McKay has already tried to eat two of them!

Thanksgiving vacation!

This year was our year to spend Thanksgiving with MY family. We started a tradition right after I graduated to have it in Pinetop. My parents own a timeshare with WorldMark so that is where we go.
Anyway, it snowed on Thanksgiving day pretty much the entire day. The kids LOVED it! It was SO pretty. Makenna was the first to notice that it was snowing. She pointed it out to me and my mom and then ran to tell Daddy and McKay. She stayed at the window almost the whole time we were in the house just watching the snow.
We got to Pinetop on Wednesday night and got all settled in. Thursday, we played in the snow, had a WONDERFUL Thanksgiving lunch/dinner, relaxed and then all the girls went to watch Twilight. I thought I would like it a little more watching it a second time but....I still don't like it. Sorry to all of you who did. Friday, Anthon and I did our Black Friday shopping (which I look forward to every year), we went to the lodge to play pool and ping pong. We hung out and played games and just relaxed. Saturday was pretty much the same as Friday. Lots of eating, playing games and relaxing. Sunday, we packed up hung out and then headed home.
Here are some pictures of our week.
Their first moments out in the snow!

Just a cute picture of my little boy enjoying the snow.

Our little family

This picture is for those of you who know me. I'm wearing shoes!!! Ugly ones but hey.... they're shoes.
I only wore them half the time though. I still had to wear my flip flops.

We decided to make a snowman since there was enough of it. The kids had so much fun! Ok, when I say WE I mean Anthon, Makenna, McKay and my mom. I just took pictures :o)

This is the finished product. We named him spike because of his spikey hair.

My mom and kids with Spike

My kids don't look happy in any of the pictures :o( I swear they were enjoying it.
Like my matching hat? ;o) I wore it for you Jennifer!! Yes, I still have it.

Anthon making a snow angel

Rollin' up my sleeves for an intense game of Nerts.

In the lodge playing pool. That's Brian being Brian. Always posing so pretty for the camera :o)

The kids LOVE playing air hockey so we let them play for a while.

Makenna won 6 to 1

McKay didn't mind, he just enjoyed playing.

The familia playing around the world in ping pong with a couple other random people who were there. I played for a little bit but couldn't run fast enough to play the entire game.......I wonder why ;o)

This was on Friday. Nobody wanted to cook so we went to El Rancho. Anthon took the picture so he wasn't in it.
L to R
Me, Julie, Allison, Brian, Amy, Kent, Dad, Mom, Makenna and McKay's head.

My cute family

Back at the lodge. There were some boys playing with the air hockey table so the kids made their own game. They got ping pong paddles and rolled the cue ball from pool table back and forth to each other.

Here is a video of the kids helping make the snowman.

This is a funny video of McKay having a snowball fight with my dad and Makenna trying to throw one :o)

McKay dancing to the music.

Anyway, we had a really fun Thanksgiving. It was nice to be with family for the holidays. I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving!!

Happy Thanksgiving!!

Happy Thanksgiving!!

I just thought I would wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving right now since we will be gone. We will have our laptop but I probably won't have time to post anything :o). Anyway, I hope everyone has an enjoyable Thanksgiving! I hope you get to spend it with loved ones.

Makenna had a little Thanksgiving party at preschool today so I thought I would show what Makenna came back with.

This is a cute little picture with her hand print turned turkey :o)

They also made little pilgrim outfits

And a little turkey made from a paper bag. You can't see it well in this picture but they are cute.
Anyway, when I asked Makenna what she was thankful for she said "I'm thankful for Jesus, and I'm thankful that Jesus died for us". I thought it was pretty cute.

Midnight showing

OK, OK, call me crazy but I went to the midnight showing of Twilight last night. I love doing stuff like that every once in a while. It's nice to hang out with girl friends. Anyway, I went with a girl in my ward, Deb, and happens to know two girls that I went to school with so we all met up to watch the movie. It was fun catching up and having adult conversations!

Deb, Me, Heather & Stephanie
So, we got to the theater at 9:00 and they were already letting people in! I thought it was really smart actually. It was nice to be able to wait for 3 hours while sitting down. They were filling up one theater at a time and unfortunately we were the last to go into the theater 14 so we thought we were stuck in lower seats that kill your neck. Luckily, Stephanie was brave enough to ask one of the men outside about the other theaters and the guy told her that we could go into the next one because were going to open it in a couple minutes anyway. So, we got really good seats!
Anyway, I got some Doctor Pepper and candy to keep me awake and all it did was keep my baby awake and kicking. It did NOTHING for me! I was able to stay awake during the whole movie though :o)
Anyway, that was our fun night. I won't say what I thought about the movie just yet. I think I will wait for more people to watch it first.

29 weeks and 5 days

So, I got big fast but it feels like I haven't grown much in last month and a half. It's a good thing because I don't feel too uncomfortable and maybe it's a good sign :o). I was a lot bigger than this with my first two at 30 weeks so I must say, I am happy! I DID say that in this pregnancy I was going to count how many people ask if I am having twins or if I am ready to pop and I am up to 12 people :o). Luckily, it REALLY doesn't bother me. I feel great! I actually feel little haha!
Anyway, I have had a few friends ask for an updated picture so I thought I would post one.
